We offer a true masterpiece, a 100% piece of solid oak wood from which we make so-called oak slices, the gaps and cavities of which can be filled with epoxy resin. This requires cottage industry work and a meticulous approach, focusing on the smallest details.
What the oak slices are, also called by some people oak discs? It is a flat piece of wood, usually of high quality such as oak, which can be used, for example, as a coaster for a feasting table or for interior decoration by hanging it on a wall. It can also be used as a stand for e.g. a flower pot, but in fact, its final purpose is unlimited and depends on your needs.
The oak slices we offer you are natural, durable, high quality, solid piece of oak wood. They are nobly made, beautifully presenting their unique grain and depth of colour. Thanks to the use of appropriate impregnating agents and varnishes, we bring out what is most beautiful in wood while protecting it.
By using epoxy resin to fill the cavities and gaps, an oak slice/disc will look like a real masterpiece. We can guarantee that if you use it as a placemat on your table, it will arouse interest and draw the eyes of your guests.
Oak wood is hard and durable, so it can be used not only as a table mat but also to build a path in the garden.
Its dimensions (diameter) depend on your requirements – it can be either 15 cm or 80 cm. Thickness (height) also. It can be a few cm or even 15 cm. In the case of the realisations below, we used black pigment (epoxy resin additive) and glossy and matt varnishes.
